NURSERY

Welcome back! We hope you all had a wonderful half term break. We are so pleased to see all of our nursery children back to school and settled back in well.

Sponsored scoot

Thank you to everyone who supported our sponsored scoot to raise money for new nursery equipment. The children had a wonderful time scooting around the playground and they are very proud of the money they raised.

Goldilocks and the three bears

This month we have been reading the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. The children have loved listening to the story and acting it out. We have enjoyed sensory play with porridge oats and turned our role play area into the bears house with chairs and beds, just like in the story.

The three little pigs

We have also been reading the story of the three little pigs. The children have enjoyed building their own houses out of paper, Duplo, and wooden blocks. They have also learned about the importance of working together to build strong houses.

Spanish lesson

We were lucky to have a Spanish lesson with Lingotots last week. The children heard lots of Spanish words, learned how to say their colours in Spanish, and did some singing. They had a lot of fun and are eager to learn more Spanish.

New outdoor classroom

We have been so excited to explore our new outdoor classroom. The children have loved playing on the new equipment and learning how to use it safely. They have also been learning how to look after the outdoor classroom and keep it clean and tidy.

Please do not allow your children to climb or use the equipment on the way into and out of school.

RECEPTION

• Reception have loved their week reading Room on the Broom. We have been exploring pumpkins, making potions and making performing with puppets we have made!

• The children have been practicing blending with the sounds they have learnt. Please do lots of practice of this at home! We can blend words such as cat, dog, pat, tap, got and kit now!

• We have all done an amazing job at learning 2D shapes and comparing them to 3D shapes!

• We were lucky enough to take part in a Spanish lesson, were we learnt to say hello in Spanish!

Ruby Class Christmas carol concert in the hall - Tuesday 12th December 2:15-3:15 pm 

Friday 22nd December - last day of term school finishes at 1:30 pm.
