I cannot believe that we have reached the end of the academic year and what a truly wonderful school year we've had! As we reach the end of term, I'm filled with immense pride reflecting on all the incredible achievements and growth we've witnessed. Our pupils have truly embraced every opportunity, from sharing their creativity in art classes to the thrilling triumphs on the sports pitch and the harmonious melodies at the O2! They particularly enjoyed watching the theatre production of the classic 'The Railway Children', this week. It's been inspiring to see their enthusiasm and dedication across such a wide range of activities.
Beyond these fantastic enriching experiences, our children have also excelled academically, reaching impressive milestones and demonstrating a real love for learning. Their hard work, curiosity, and the unwavering support of our dedicated staff have created an environment where every child can flourish. We've celebrated countless individual successes and collective accomplishments, and it's clear that our pupils are not only developing strong foundational skills but are also becoming confident, well-rounded individuals ready for their next adventures.
As we end this year, I would like to thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout the year. It's been a privilege to lead such a vibrant and thriving school community, and I wish you all a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer break.
Finally, we say goodbye to our Year 6s who have had a fantastic last few weeks at Brookfield with their amazing Jungle Book Performance, Leavers Disco and Leavers Assembly. We have loved having them as part of the Brookfield family and wish them every success as they start their Secondary School Journey.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday 3rd September, refreshed and ready for another exciting year of learning and discovery!
End of Term Round Up
Summer Fair
A massive thank you to all those who braved the weather and joined us at our Summer Fair. Despite the initial very wet start, the fair was a huge success with the La Boo Boo and Bottle tombola being particular favourites! The children thoroughly enjoyed the inflatables while the hot dogs were delicious!
A Massive Thank You
Thank you to our wonderful PTFA and in particular Gemma and Serena for all their hard work in making the fair the most successful yet raising over £4,000. This will be spent on a climbing frame for the lower playground.
Please Help!
Sadly, Gemma, Serena and the current PTFA executive team have decided to step down. We are therefore in need of parents to join and lead the PTFA.
The money raised from the PTFA events help enhance our school for your children, so please do contact the office if you would like to join the PTFA or can offer help at any future events.
Thank you.
A Truly Moving Nursery Sing Along
What a wonderful way to mark the end of the school year! Our annual Nursery Sing-Along took place on Tuesday, and it was an absolutely heartwarming event that left not a dry eye in the room.
Their enthusiasm, confidence and fantastic singing filled the room, showcasing all the wonderful songs they have learnt. Every note was sung with joy and precision!
The inclusion of Makaton signs alongside their singing was truly beautiful to watch. The combination of their sweet voices and expressive signs added an extra layer of emotion to the performances, touching the hearts of everyone in attendance.
A huge well done to all the Nursery children for their incredible efforts and to the Nursery staff for all their hard work in preparing them for such a memorable occasion. It was a perfect send-off, celebrating their achievements and the special journey they've had in Nursery.
We're so proud of each and every one of them!
Celebrating Our Amazing Reception Graduates!
On Thursday 17th July, we celebrated the "graduation" of our wonderful Reception class! It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming our youngest learners through the doors, some a little shy, others bursting with excitement. Now, as they prepare to transition to Year 1, we couldn't be prouder of the incredible journey and development each and every child has made throughout this year. Once again, there was not a dry eye in the hall as we celebrated their amazing journey and immense growth thoroughout this academic year,
We want to extend a huge thank you to all our Reception parents and carers for your incredible support throughout the year. Your partnership has been invaluable in nurturing your child's development and making their first year of school such a positive experience.
Goodbyes
Sadly we have to say goodbye to several of our teachers and teaching assistants as they move on to different schools and adventures. We wish Miss Khan all the best in her adventures abroad. Mrs Holmes, Miss Brice and Miss Wilson leave us to join three of our Surrey LEO schools - we wish them all the best. Mr Harris is leaving us to join CCJ. We are sure we will see them all soon. Miss Emmile and Mrs Maxwell are leaving us to join other schools and we wish them every success.
A huge thank you to all our staff who are leaving us. They have been inspirational in their time at Brookfield and will be greatly missed.
Golden Raffle Ticket Winners
Well done to this term's Golden Raffle Ticket Winners who were treated to a tea party with Mrs Townsend and Mrs Teixeira. They thoroughly enjoyed being waited on as well as the delicious squash, biscuits and cakes.
NED Assembly
On Friday 4th July we were treated to a Ned Assembly. This assembly focused on developing children's resilience using the acronym NED.
N - Never Give Up
E - Encourage Others
D - Do your best.
Children were then able to purchase a 'NED' yo yo to remember this key message.
We are pleased to let you know we have signed up to the National Read Aloud Challenge for 2025. By signing up, your child will have access to a multitude of books which they can read over the summer helping to develop their fluency and love of reading as well as collecting online rewards!

The Cognus therapies team have collated a Summer Therapies Pack including: a range of fun and interactive activities to help children continue developing key skills over the holidays. Activities focus on fine motor and gross motor skills, handwriting, sensory regulation, visual perception, life skills, and gentle back-to-school preparation - all designed to support learning through play and everyday routines. While we encourage as many pupils as possible to ride and scoot to school, can we please ask that children only WALK their scooters and bikes when on the school premises. Oracy improves children’s outcomes in all areas of learning. It also fosters well being and confidence

Ensuring the safety of our pupils is our top priority. This includes maintaining a smooth and safe environment for pick-up and drop-off times.
The school has never, and will never, advise parking in a way that obstructs residents' driveways on Ridge Road, or anywhere else in the neighborhood. We understand the convenience of pulling right up, but it's crucial to park legally and considerately.
We kindly ask all parents and guardians to be mindful of the following during pick-up and drop-off:
Park safely and with due care.
Respect our neighbours and local residents. This includes not parking across driveways at any time.
If parking is limited, consider carpooling or using alternative transportation options when possible.
To further ensure safety and a smooth flow of traffic, we've requested additional police patrols during pick-up and drop-off times.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school community safe and considerate of our neighbours.
The school uniform policy contributes to a positive and inclusive learning environment. We rely on parents' and guardians' support in ensuring their children wear the correct uniform.
