MindMate Single Point of Access (SPA) is a service run by the NHS that helps children and young people in Leeds find support with their mental health.

The THRU Peer Support project (Talk, Help, Relate, Understand), led by Leeds Mind, offers peer support group work for young people aged between 14 and 25 for 6 months and up to a year. It’s a space to meet with other young people to share how you’re feeling and to develop new ways of managing your mental health.

Teen Connect is a helpline for 11-18 year-olds living in the Leeds area. They can offer up to an hour of support either by phone, text or online chat. You can have up to an hour with one of their trained staff each night to talk about what you’re going through.

This NHS service is available to anyone over the age of 17 who is registered with a Leeds GP. Help is available to anyone in the Leeds area who is dealing with mild-moderate depression, anxiety, stress or panic. You can self-refer to various different support services such as one to one help, group support and online classes.

This is a service that works with a number of mental health services in Leeds. They have a helpline but also work with other organisations to provide group work, bereavement services and housing services.
What to expect If you call the LSLCS helpline:
Connect is open from 6pm-2am every night. Connect offers emotional support to people who live in Leeds and want to talk. Chat support currently can last up to 45 minutes.
Connect online is a confidential listening service. We will only breach your confidentiality if you or someone else is at risk of serious and immediate harm and then only if you tell us your telephone number, so that we can speak with you and talk through potentially contacting other services.
Confidentiality – We respect our online caller’s who choose not to give their details, however sometimes when there appears to be an immediate risk to life you might be traced by your IP address.
