Sexual Health

Your health and wellbeing is important and the same goes for your sexual health. We offer a sexual health drop-in service every week at our Student Support Hub at University Centre, Park Lane. You can access services from the Leeds based '3 in 1 Scheme' and confidential advice with a trained member of staff.

3 in 1 Scheme (C-card)

As a member of the C-Card Scheme you have access to FREE condoms (external and internal), lubricant, and oral/dental dams as well as lots of information and advice. You need to visit a 3 in 1 registration point to join the scheme. This scheme is for under 25s only.

What happens at a C Card registration?

Registered members

Once you’ve been through the registration process you’ll are given a C-Card with your own individual ID number. You can take this card to lots of sites around the city and access free condoms. Take a look at the map below to find your nearest point.Every 6-12 months (depending on your age) you’ll be asked to have a quick one-one with a worker to check you’re still in a safe situation and have everything you need.

I'm worried about my sexual health, what can I do?


Being worried about your sexual health can be a scary situation, but there are lots of services in Leeds that are here to support you.


Leeds Sexual Health (see below) is a website detailing all the services available for sexual health support in Leeds, including a STI symptom checker and what to do if you have come into contact with someone with an STI. They have plenty of useful videos including a clinic tour, how to use a condom and about young people's experiences with LARC (Long action reversible contraception).  


Free Test Me is an NHS service in Leeds where you can order a free chlamydia or gonorrhoea self test sent to your home. 

Where can I find information on sexual health?


Yorkshire MESMAC provide counselling, consultation, condoms and lubricant, HIV testing and many more services in Leeds and surrounding Yorkshire areas. The clinic is run for LGBT+/Trans/Non-binary people but the website is open to all.

Where can I get emergency contraception?

You can take emergency contraception up to 72 hours after unprotected sex.

If you need emergency contraception and are under 25 you can get this for free from some pharmacies in Leeds. If you are over 25 and go to a pharmacy for emergency contraception you may have to pay for it.

However, anyone can obtain free emergency contraception from their GP or from their local CASH Clinic.
