Wellbeing and Welfare
We know that succeeding in your studies is determined as much by your wellbeing as it is by your academic ability: if you feel healthy and content within yourself and your environment, then you are far more likely to perform to the best of your academic ability.
We hope that we can encourage you to take responsibility for your own health and wellbeing, empower you to seek help when you need it, and support you to develop skills that will equip you not only for your studies, but for life more generally. Information on this page is for wellbeing and welfare, if you would like information about:
Mental health please go to our mental health pages.
Financial support please go to our fees and funding pages.
There are a number of services available to provide support to you during your studies at University Centre and you will find useful information about them below. In the 2022/23 academic year we hope to be in a position to offer a good mix of online and in person appointments and events, depending on students’ preferences, space capacity and the restrictions in place at the time. In addition to the central Student Support Team, advice is also available from your tutor, department, fellow students and the Student Union.
