While Assessment Prompts are used to check that each Learning Goal has been achieved, formative assessment should be ongoing and occur throughout Learning Activities as well. Keep in mind that a Learning Activity may last for an extended time. It is important to not wait for the Assessment Prompt to check for understanding. Build in “quick checks” during the Learning Activity.
