Generation Q

Generation Q is a group for the Queer and Allied Youth of Nanaimo. We are a safe space and welcome all LGBTQQIP2SAA youth and their allies!

Come join Generation Q at the Teen Centre every Thursday evening for a fun safe and supportive group, ages 13-18. Youth ages 18-24 are also encouraged to attend to participate as youth mentors and program volunteers.

Connect with Gen Q on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GenerationQPUBLIC or by emailing generationq@bgccvi.com. Gen Q meets Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Boys and Girls Club of Central Vancouver Island (#20 Fifth Street).

PFLAG Nanaimo

PFLAG Canada is proud to be Canada’s only national organization that offers peer-to-peer support striving to help all Canadians with issues of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression. We support, educate and provide resources to anyone with questions or concerns. We promise to offer local, practical, and emotional peer-to-peer family support for individuals and their loved ones challenged by gender/sexual identity.

The group meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 2-4 pm. It is an adult-oriented group (for age 18 and up), primarily made up of parents and family members, allies, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
