PTA/PTSA's do not need to fill out the Booster Club Update information or turn in financials or the 990. They turn their information into the Texas PTA.


Staff are not allowed to hold any LISD school PTA/booster club officer position that has a financial capacity. “Financial capacity” shall include the President, Vice President, Treasurer, fundraising chair, and any other booster member that serves on a Financial Review committee, acts as a check signer for the club, or any other function that invoices the receipt and distribution of money.

FORMS CAN NOW BE SUBMITTED DIRECTLY TO OUR DISCTRICT OFFICE HERE. JUST SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOOSTER SECTION AND FOLLOW THE PROMPTS.

At the beginning of each year, Booster Clubs should submit:

2. Previous year's financial reports.

3. Bylaws.

4. A copy of the 990 filing.

These documents are due to the district by September 1st each year. If these documents are not received, fundraisers might not be approved.

Fundraisers

Fundraisers can run July 1st - June 30th each year. If your fundraiser is overlapping years, you must submit a form for each year.

Fundraisers are now submitted online. The Booster Club officer should submit the fundraiser request. Once submitted, it will automatically flow through an approval process (coach/sponsor, Admin, Principal, District, approval sent back to booster). You can find step by step guidelines here.

REMEMBER: Donation fundraisers (“A-Thons”, sponsorship, memberships, “Write the Check” campaigns, donation bucket/cans, etc.) should submit any communication regarding these fundraisers with the permission form for approval and cannot offer any sort of advertising on District property or campus websites without written permission from School Community Relations.
