Instructional time is precious and non-negotiable. When students miss class time, they miss out on crucial learning opportunities. Any student not in class is required to have an eHallPass. eHallPass is the electronic hall pass system that ECG uses for all student traffic during the regular school day. Students receive a total of 2 passes each day through eHallPass. If a student needs to use the bathroom or get water, the student should complete a pass in eHallPass and wait for the instructor to approve or deny it. Students should not verbally request passes or leave the classroom without an approved pass. The instructor will not stop a class presentation to approve passes, nor will the instructor write passes for students to visit other classrooms. Students must request a pass from other teachers, admin, or school counselors. Students who leave the classroom with an eHallPass are considered skipping after 10 minutes, and passes can be limited as a result.
