Rules, Procedures, Expectations, and Consequences

EXPECTATIONS, CLASS CONDUCT RULES, and DAILY PROCEDURES

Expectations

1. Attend class (get all missed assignments from the teacher and complete them within three

days of any/all absences)

2. Be prompt (in assigned bleacher seat by the tardy bell)

3. Be prepared (dress out clothes, tennis shoes, notebook, and a pen)

4. Dress out (separate set of clean clothes not worn to school)

5. Participate (100% effort and positive attitude….quality participation)

6. Be respectful (mannerly to self, peers, ALL PE TEACHERS/WINTHROP STUDENT TEACHERS,

facilities, and equipment….ex. yes sir/no sir)

7. Cooperate (work positively with others)- teamwork and sportsmanship

8. Practice safety (no touching others/equipment/facilities and no horse playing)

Class Conduct Rules

1. Enter and exit gym/locker room quietly

2. Class materials only..NO PERSONAL VALUABLES-NO CELL PHONE/HEAD PHONES

3. Dress out everyday

4. Keep change of clothes in the locker room

5. Participate everyday

6. Behave professionally (ex. raise hand)

7. Clean environment (ex. pick up all trash and keep area neat)

8. No hall passes for restroom and/or water breaks

(Exceptions: A. injured-go to nurse, B. called to office C. female emergency)

***Any rule that is not obeyed will be subject to teacher assigned physical activity and/or

administrative action.

Daily Procedures

1. Assigned seat/copy word of the day/roll call

2. Dress out and sit in the locker room

3. Assigned seat/lesson introduction

4. Notebook assignment

5. Warm-ups

6. Teacher/student demonstration

7. Individual practice (skills)

8. Partner/cooperative group practice(skills)

9. Team modified game play

10. Cool-downs

11. Closure/review/breakdown

12. Dress out and sit in the hallway

CONSEQUENCES

Disruptive behavior-teacher physical activity and/or sent to an administrator
