Quality Assurance Program
Quality Assurance Program
Quality Assurance Program Principles
The Project's Quality Assurance Program is established to achieve quality for all work based upon the following principles:
All work is conducted through an integrated and effective management system;
Management support for planning, organization, resources, direction, and control is essential to quality assurance (QA);
Performance and quality improvement require thorough, rigorous assessments and effective corrective actions;
All personnel are responsible for achieving and maintaining quality; and
Risks and adverse mission impacts associated with work processes are minimized while maximizing reliability and performance of work products.
Quality Assurance Requirements
Quality Assurance begins at project inception and continues through all phases of the project. A Quality Assurance Program (QAP) is required for the project and all applicable QA requirements must be addressed. LBNL Quality Assurance website is here. The key elements of a QAP are provided in DOE O 414.1D and 10 CFR Part 830, Subpart A (See also DOE G 413.3-2.).
