"CommonLit is a nonprofit education technology organization dedicated to ensuring that all students, especially students in Title I schools, graduate with the reading, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills they need to be successful in college and beyond."
When I was teaching English, I used CommonLIt all the time. And, it's gotten way better. Don't reinvent the wheel. Use open-access resources. MOD
PBS has great interactive lesson plans with media, etc. For all content areas--as an English teacher, I love the reading that includes audio for my reluctant readers and most include related writing lessons (written by teachers, the real experts!). And, science looks amazing. All share to Google Classroom. Check it out. MOD

Free Resources: There are books here to order for low cost, but the free/downloadable resources are worth a look--especially on diversity and empathy.
