Personal

I am a first-generation Armenian American, born in Tarzana, CA. I grew up in Glendale and Burbank and frequented libraries, bookstores, and concerts in Los Angeles. My parents fostered my love of books and music.

Currently, I live in the San Fernando Valley with my husband, daughter, and son. We love family movie & game nights along with playing a variety of sports.

I love going to concerts, making traditional cultural dishes, baking with my kids, listening to music, and drinking coffee!

Professional

I have been teaching for 17 years and just recently transferred to Grover Cleveland Charter HS in January 2025. This transition has allowed me to be closer to home and my children and I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful school community of educators and students; I am grateful to be a part of the Land!

I began my teaching career at North Hollywood High School and taught 10th, 11th, and 12th grade English at the NHHS Zoo Magnet.

I graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Arts Degree in Humanities from the California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I have also received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Secondary ELA Credential from CSUN.
