Personal

I was born and raised here in the San Fernando valley. I was born in Burbank and grew up in Reseda where I played tons of sports with regular trips to the beach. I always loved stories and movies which influenced my love of history because of the truly epic stories that can be found. 

I am a huge fan of the environment and when I'm not in the classroom I can be found teaching scuba diving on the weekends or surfing.

Professional

Following high school graduation, I attended California State University Northridge where I became fascinated by art. I graduated with a B.A. in Art and Design which I planned to use in the video game industry. This entire time I could be found researching different historical topics on my own without a thought to what I may do with it.

I quickly found that I disliked what I was doing and had a passion both to teach people as well as talk everything history! I was fortunate enough to find myself in the teaching program at California State Northridge and then on my way to Cleveland where I have taught for my entire career.
