Personal
I have been a San Fernando Valley resident all my life, born in Burbank and raised in West Hills. I come from a very artistic and musical family, which has inspired my interest in mixed media art, songwriting, and poetry.
I am also a lover of the natural world and enjoy spending weekends taking mountain drives, hiking, and camping.
Professional
I began my post-secondary education at Pierce College where I developed a passion for reading and discussing literature. After completing my general education requirements and earning an A.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences, I transferred to CSUN. I double majored in Honors English Literature and English Subject Matter (JYI Credential Program). I graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English and a Secondary ELA Credential.
I have taught at Cleveland for the entirety of my career, and I am proud to be involved in the school community. In 2022, I earned my M.A. in Creative Writing at CSUN. That year, I also became the Creative Writing teacher here at Cleveland.
