This course will also be like the football one, you will be paired with people of your level. You will learn the basics of Basketball, that there are more things to learn. After that we will learn more advanced things.
Firstly, we will learn the bounce of the ball, that is the first thing, you can’t move if you aren’t bouncing, and is better to do it correctly and with some tricks, for example, to pass it between the legs, from the back, change the ball to the other hand faster and better.
How to do layups better, we will show you how to do it past the rim and bank layups, and if you are really agile we will show you really advanced layups, but those one are really difficult. If you’re able to touch the rim, or higher than that, we will show you to dunk. First, the basic ones, two hands or one handed dunks, and afterwards more complex dunks, like between the legs in the air or 360º dunks.
You will also be taught how to defend in the perimeter and in the paint, to make blocks or get steals to help your team defend. If you learn this, you will learn the most important thing of basketball.
After that we will show you to shoot, the mechanics of shooting and how to position when you are shooting, because this doesn’t seem relevant, but yes it is, it affects a lot your shooting form and that may change the ball direction.
After that, we have programmed a passing lesson and after that we will study some of the best passers or playmakers in the world, after the mechanics of passing and fancy passes to show off.
After that we will pair you with people of your level to do 3vs3’s
1. Learn well the technique of each of the styles: A good body alignment, the activation of the internal muscles of the abdomen or the correct placement of hands and arms
2. Use the material at your fingertips to integrate it into your workouts: Boards or ‘pullboys’ are accessories that we can use to improve our stroke or the work of our legs.
3. Combine swimming with strength work in the living room: From improving our muscle tone and quality to training dry technical gestures and then transferring them to training in the water.
