The Milestone Medical Team

Sue

Sue has been at Milestone since 2008 and joined the medical team in 2017. Sue leads the Medical Team on a day to day basis. Sue liaises with families, staff and other agencies to make sure we have up to date health information in each pupil’s Individual Health Care Plan. Sue coordinates and runs the clinics and immunisations we host in school throughout the year. Sue is trained in Paediatric First Aid so is able to support staff with medical emergencies when needed.

Julie

Julie joined the medical team as a Health Care Assistant in September 2023.  Julie has 14 years experience working for the ambulance service.  Julie got to know Milestone as the parent of a pupil, and when she saw the HCA role advertised, knew that her experience could be beneficial to the school and the children.  Julie is looking forward to supporting the children in school.

Georgina

Georgina has worked at Milestone as a teaching assistant for a number of years. She now works in the medical team as a Health Care Assistant to help support the students with their medical needs. She is trained in First Aid and how to help with various medical needs. Georgina also administers medication to the students and supports the teaching staff.

 Emma

Having worked in adult residential services for many years, Emma made the transition into working with children with complex health care needs five years ago. She really enjoyed this and worked as a 1:1 health care assistant. Emma then worked as a teaching assistant in class and joined the medical team in September as a Health Care Assistant.
