Physiotherapy

Here at Leigh Academy Milestone,  our own Physio / OT Assistant works closely with the NHS physiotherapists and OTs, to support children with equipment and the delivery of programmes.  

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust provides physiotherapy to children on a needs basis, according to the referral criteria. This covers: assessment, treatment and specialist equipment.

Programmes are carried out individually and incorporated into a children’s daily routine to promote inclusion in all activities.

Equipment used by students is monitored for growth and suitability annually, or sooner if required.  Reviews of treatment are carried out six monthly.
