A very warm welcome to another exciting academic year!
This module, we will be spending time settling into our new routines and timetables, getting to know our learning spaces, and making the most of the wonderful resources and opportunities available to us.
In our Inquiry sessions, we will explore how we express ourselves through multi-sensory, engaging and accessible activities.
Together, we will learn about a range of historical events, including the Fire of London, while also having opportunities to take part in and celebrate special events such as:
🚒 Emergency Services Day
🍂 Autumnal Equinox
🌾 Harvest Festival
🐾 World Animal Day
Our Sensology theme this module is ‘Colours’.
Pupils will have opportunities to explore colour through a range of sensory experiences, developing skills such as tracking, listening and responding, exploring, smelling and tasting.
In Cooking, we will focus on developing our sensory skills while creating our own versions of some Great British recipes.
We will explore savoury favourites such as prawn cocktail, as well as delicious sweet treats including Victoria sponge cake.
