Week 5

What another fantastic week we’ve had in Pearl Class! We have been busy developing our skills, exploring our senses and learning together. This week, we have:

• Developed our tracking skills through Eye Gaze and Sensology sessions.

• Taken turns mixing ingredients to create a delicious strawberry trifle during Cooking.

• Enjoyed spending time in our outdoor learning environment, exploring all the different elements around us.

• Relaxed and engaged our senses during our ‘Liquid Listening’ sessions.

• Taken part in our physiotherapy programmes.

• Completed functional activities while standing in our standing frames and walkers.

• Learnt about ‘Harvest Festival’ as part of our ‘Special Event’ Inquiry learning.

Week 4

We are now over halfway through our first module, and it has absolutely flown by! It’s been another busy and exciting week, filled with lots of opportunities to learn, explore and have fun.

This week, we have:

• Participated in our daily ‘Circle’ Time sessions.

• Enjoyed a range of therapeutic activities, including TACPAC and massages.

• Used our senses to explore different ingredients while helping to create delicious ‘Fairy Cakes’.

• Created music in Forest School, using natural materials from our surroundings.

• Worked hard towards our individual targets.

• Celebrated the ‘Autumnal Equinox’ as part of our Inquiry learning.

Week 3

Wow! What a busy and exciting week we have had! We have enjoyed lots of opportunities to explore, create, relax and learn together. This week, we have:

• Created artwork in Forest School, using natural materials from our surroundings.

• Woken up our senses each day with our ‘Colours’ Sensology sessions.

• Worked creatively together to complete our ‘Pearl Class’ display board.

• Used our senses to explore different ingredients while helping to create a delicious ‘Eton Mess’.

• Enjoyed ‘Aqua Learn’ and ‘Liquid Listening’ sessions in the hydrotherapy pool.

• Relaxed and developed our relationships through our ‘Colour’ Massage Story sessions.

Week 2 

Pearl Class have had another fantastic week! We have been busy learning, exploring and developing our skills through a wide range of exciting activities. This week, we have:

• Explored our outdoor learning environment in Forest School.

• Learnt about our ‘Special Event’ this week, Emergency Services Day, which took place on Wednesday 9th September 2026.

• Worked hard towards our physiotherapy and ILP targets.

• Engaged in a range of technology and Eye Gaze-based activities.

• Enjoyed a Music and Movement session, where we developed our fine and gross motor skills.

• Enjoyed a Cooking Inquiry session, using our senses to explore the ingredients for ‘Prawn Cocktail’.

• Celebrated our achievements during our weekly celebration assembly.

What a wonderful week of learning, exploration and achievement! We are so proud of everything Pearl Class have accomplished. 🌟🌿🎶

Week 1

What a busy and exciting first week we’ve had! It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back and begin our new module together. This week, we have:

• Re-established our routines and settled back into school life.

• Explored The Fire of London through a range of exciting multi-sensory activities.

• Worked hard towards our physiotherapy and ILP targets.

• Engaged in technology and Eye Gaze-based activities.

• Enjoyed a fun Music and Movement session.

• Celebrated our achievements during our weekly celebration assembly.

It has been a fantastic start to our new module, and we are looking forward to all the learning, exploration and fun that the weeks ahead will bring! 🔥🎶🌟
