Welcome to Module 1
Welcome to Diamond Class 2026/27! This module, we will settle into our new routines, get to know each other, and build a happy learning community.

Week 1 - We've had a fantastic start to the term and everyone is settled back into the school routine! This week in Inquiry, we introduced The Great Fire of London through sensory play. The pupils had a wonderful time exploring a red and yellow fire-themed rice tuff tray, building pouring and scooping skills, playing with fire engines, singing "London’s Burning," and creating colorful sensory artwork.
We will also shortly be sending home weekly reading books that the pupils have chosen from the library themselves. Please support us in encouraging reading for pleasure at home; it would be fantastic if you could write any comments in the provided reading records about how your child engaged with their chosen stories.
Week 2- This week we have continued with our Great Fire of London theme in our inquiry sessions. The pupils were really engaged in our sensory art 'fire' creations and enthusiastically explored sensory smoke and soot bottles and explored the changes in materials using their senses. Our PE sessions using the 'Diddy ' cars was a a big hit and the pupils showed great gross motor skills when steering and manipulating the cars.
