Little birds have started to learn about the Transdisciplinary theme, “How the World Works”. We are learning about ‘How living things grow and change’.
We looked at farm animals, jungle animals and baby animals. We looked at where the animals lived, created our own habitats and learned about the names of mummy and baby animals. We enjoyed singing songs, including learning a new version of ‘Old Macdonald’ which helped us when counting to 5.
Our Author this term is Julia Donaldson. We have enjoyed listening to the stories Monkey puzzle, The Gruffalo and The Smartest Giant in Town to name but a few.
We have also enjoyed finding out about different technologies and using the Ipads in various ways safely. On World book day, we celebrated by dressing up us our favourite book characters and then used the Ipads to take photos of our friends in their costumes.
More recently, we have started to show an interest in writing for a purpose and are trying really hard to recognise and write our own names.
