Reception

In Term 4, we continued our learning about how 'the environment influences living things.' We explored the ideas surrounding pollution in our oceans and what we can do to keep them plastic free. We also had a special delivery arrive in EYFS... nine chicken eggs! We were very lucky to observe all nine hatch and grow in our care. We knew we had to make sure they had enough warmth, food and water. Willow also came to Reception to make sure they were being looked after.

We then started our learning about minibeasts and found out lots of facts about snails, ladybirds, caterpillars, slugs and butterflies all to name a few! We even made our own snaileries in the Forest School. We also had a trip to Tyland Barn where we learnt lots of facts about different minibeasts, where they live, why they live in certain places and how they grow and change. What a fun-packed term!
