LUSD offers various supervision positions throughout the district.  Below is a brief summary of what you can expect when subbing in these positions. 

Responsible for providing for a safe and secure school environment, fostering an optimal learning environment and promoting appropriate and safe behavior by patrolling the campus, monitoring student activity, enforcing school and district policies, intervening in physical encounters, monitoring security cameras, monitoring visitors, reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions and assisting administrators and/or public officials with emergency or investigative situations. 

Supervise students and maintain order on the playground, lunch areas, walkways, restrooms, and other areas of a school campus as required; to do other related work as required. Observes and directs students while actively circulating on the playground and in the lunch area. Maintain a harmonious atmosphere on the playground, ensuring the environment is safe for students and staff. Intervenes in situations as needed. Cleans lunch area and tables between lunch periods.
