Your responsibilities to the District
A classified substitute has the responsibility to provide a stimulating learning environment for students. Your success as a substitute depends upon your ability to function successfully within the District’s philosophies and goals, and to teach students of varying ethnic/racial, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds.
You are responsible for knowing all district policies and regulations related to mandated reporting of sexual and physical abuse of children, sexual harassment, and substance abuse.
Professional Dress
All substitutes are expected to maintain a professional appearance. Clothing should be worn that is appropriate to the position and that models a high standard for students.
Work Day
When accepting a position in Frontline make sure you are aware of the start and end time of your assignment. It is best to allow yourself time to familiarize yourself with the site, Office staff, and review the schedule for the day.
At the end of the day check out with the office staff to make sure your timesheet is complete and there are no other duties you need to complete before you leave.
Plan ahead because our students are counting on you
When accepting a position in Frontline make sure you add these assignments to your calendar. If you need to cancel your assignment, please do so as early as possible so we have time to find another substitute. If you are unsure about an assignment you have accepted and want to know more about the assignment please contact Human Resources.
