Copyright and Fair Use fall under the category of Digital Citizenship but are worth extra consideration. In this digital age, more of what we and our students do and create ends up online. We are no longer isolated and/or "protected" by the four walls of our classroom. More and more teachers and educational institutions are being held liable for copyright/fair use infringements. Monetary fines are imposed and those fines are on the rise. The shift to teaching remotely makes it even more relevant than ever for teachers and students to adhere to copyright and fair use as it pertains to education.
