Hyperdocs are simply documents you create that contain links to other information. You've probably been making these for years and didn't know they had a name! All that time linking information in your lesson plans? Those information sheets you've shared with students linking to outside sources for various facts? That's all a hyperdoc!
For the purposes of Google Classroom, it is a great way to organize a given period of time or unit so students and parents can have easy access to all expectations and assignments in one place. You can use a template from this site or easily create one yourself using Google Docs, Slides, or Drawings.
