Google Classroom is a learning management tool that allows for the distribution and submission of assignments, as well as the sharing of announcements online. Students can communicate with instructors, such as by asking questions. Additionally, they can receive materials and submit assignments through the platform. This manual explains the basic operations you should learn first. For more detailed features, please also refer to the Official Google help page.

The message will appear at the top of the Stream like this.

The Classwork tab is the screen where you can view distributed materials and submit assignments.
In this section, we will explain basic operations: "Assignment submission steps" and the "Comment function (questions and communication)".
There are two ways to submit an assignment: "File upload" and "Create new."
Here, we explain the steps to submit a file saved on your computer.
Open the Classwork tab and click the assignment you want to submit from the list. Once the assignment details expand, click [View instructions] at the bottom left.
When the assignment details screen appears, click [+ Add or create] under "Your work" on the right side. A menu will appear; select [File].
The file selection screen will be displayed. Click the [Browse] button in the center to select a file from your computer, or drag and drop the file directly into the window.
Confirm that the file has been attached and click [Turn in].
When a confirmation message appears, click [Turn in] again to complete the process.
Finally, confirm that the status in the top right corner of the screen has changed to [Turned in]. This completes your assignment submission.
There are two types of comments in Classroom. Use them according to your purpose:
① Class comments [Visible to: Everyone in the class]
② Private comments [Visible to: Only you and the instructor]
① Class comments This is a comment section visible to everyone in the class, including the instructor and other students. Use this to post information that should be shared with the entire group, such as questions about the lesson content or reports of system issues.
② Private comments This is a comment section visible only to you and the instructor. Use this to send messages that you do not want other students to see, such as notifications about tardiness or absences, or personal questions.
The People tab is used to check the instructors and other students participating in the class.
The To-do list allows you to check assignments and quizzes for all your classes in a single list.
Switch between the tabs at the top of the screen to check your submission status.
Assigned: Assignments you need to work on. This displays unsubmitted assignments that are still within their deadlines.
Missing: Assignments that are past their due dates and have not yet been submitted.
Done: Assignments that have been submitted. You can also check your grades and feedback from instructors here.
The calendar function allows you to view the deadlines and schedules for all your classes in a single view.
Switching the view: You can choose to display the schedules for "All classes" combined, or filter the view to show only a specific class.
You can change your notification settings from "Settings" in the menu on the left side of the screen. In addition to general settings, you can also toggle notifications on or off for each individual class you belong to.
Once you start using Classroom, a "Classroom" folder is automatically created in your My Drive.
Materials and assignments are stored in this folder. Additionally, this folder is an important system component, so please do not delete it under any circumstances.
