Welcome to the Program of Studies for King William High School
This comprehensive site contains all information pertaining to graduation requirements and programs offered in line with requirements from the VDOE. We strive for every Cavalier to be prepared for Employment, Enlistment, or Enrollment after high school. Please click on the tabs to the left to explore each content area. Below you will see several sample programs of study to demonstrate the pathway a student could follow during their time at KWHS. Counselors work with students every spring to determine the next step for each student. If students have questions about what course to take they are encouraged to talk to their teachers and counselors to help guide their decision making. All student course requests must be submitted prior to the end of the current school year. The master schedule is based on student request so it is imperative this information is accurate prior to students leaving for the summer. For various reasons some courses described within the Program of Studies may not be offered during the 2025-2026 school year, and some individual student and parent requests may not be able to be met. King William High School does its best every year to fulfill and honor student requests; however with some course limits capped or scheduling conflicts not all requests can be honored every year.
Cavaliers are Confident, Achievement-driven, Vision-focused, and Successful everyday.
