RAKAHINONGA 2023
He toa auaha, he toa rakahinonga hoki ō tātau Uri. Ko tā ngā uri he whakarite whāinga auaha mā roto mai i ngā mahi mātauranga ā iwi, e whai hua ā pūtea nei tōna whānau, ōna hapū, ōna iwi, tōna hapori anō hoki. Kia whakapeto ngoi i roto i ngā mahi pāngarau, tuhituhi, ahurea, me te taha hangarau matihiko kia ora ai ngā Uri me ō rātou ake whānau.
We want our Uri to have the experiences to help them become leaders in the world of innovation and business. We want Uri to develop their skills in financial literacy, Pangarau and digital technologies so they can contribute to the financial wellbeing of their whānau, hapū and communities.
*Uri will be required to go through an Entrance Process as part of their application to enrol.

To provide L1 NCEA learning experiences within the Pangarau, Commerce, and Digital curriculum areas
To provide Uri with a range of experiences that will allow them to develop financial literacy, business knowledge and digital tools.
To support Uri on a pathway to further learning through NCEA L2 and L3 and beyond into further education or career opportunities.

WEEKLY ONLINE CLASSES

NGĀ WHAKARITENGA MAHI
This course will provide Uri with experiences that cover:
Learning about how organisations are structured
Investigating a need or problem using data
Developing an innovative idea, product or service
Developing a solution using digital technologies
Marketing, pricing and analysing cost for their idea
Course delivered online with face to face wānanga in term one and term four.
Course fees will cover the costs of accommodation and kai at wānanga ā-kanohi and other course resources.
NGĀ PAEARU WHAKAURU
Uri should have sufficient literacy to engage with online platforms (Te Reo Māori - curriculum level 5; English - curriculum level 4)
Uri should have numeracy to curriculum Level 5. Uri will be required to work through an entrance task to show their skills.
Uri should be provided with a suitable device (e.g. chromebook) to be able to access the online learning components of the course
Uri must have support from their Kura to engage in the course - including an allocated Kaitakawaenga and a letter of support from their Kura
Uri should be self-motivated and able to be independent learners
Uri will be expected to complete Te Hotaka Whakarite in term 4, 2022.
NGĀ ARA KI TUĀ O TE KURA
This L1 NCEA course will lead into L2 and L3 courses.
This course will provide practical and entrepreneurial skills that are relevant for all students, including financial and digital literacy and knowledge of basic business principles.
Tertiary study pathways include Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, Accounting, Construction, Mechanics, Digital Technology.
Career pathways include Finance, Business, Data Analyst, Scientist, Engineering, Construction, Technology and more!
