Each of the competitive games and activities will count towards each classes total score for I Mua Week and determine which class will win bragging rights and a couple of prizes. A scoreboard at the end of each day will be posted here so you can track your classes progress.
Here is the list of how each class can earn their points:
Bleacher Decorations | Class officers and their helpers will be decorating the gym for the opening assembly, which will be judged by a panel of discerning kumu. Class rankings will determine who receives 4, 3, 2, or 1 point.
See the rubric of how scores will be determined
Three Judges: Mr. Pao, Ms. Bartels, and Mr. Sato
Wig Snatch | Each class will have a team of four players who will compete in a wig snatch competition. Class rankings will determine who receives up to 4 points.
Box Stacking Competition | Each class should put forth their best balancer as they race to stack their designated boxes
Hula Hoop Pants Catching | It's basketball-ish, but a little wacky. Classes will compete in a hula hoop pants game. Balls will earn points and determine where classes finish to determine who receives up to 4 points for the game.
Generation Race | A relay race through the different generations of life. Best times will win their class up to 4 points.
Race through four stages of growing up. Multiple round races, two racers per class. Winner will be determined by an aggregate score.
Donut Eating Contest | Pick your best eater as classes compete in a good old-fashioned(actually powdered) donut eating contest
Three rounds. Winning class will be determined by an aggregate of the three competitions.
Dodgeball | The final scoring opportunity will come as our closing activity, and the most high stakes. The winning class will receive up to 14 points. Sign up if you are interested in playing here (must be logged into your imua.ksbe.edu account)
Overall Spirit Score | Our high school administration will be monitoring classes throughout the week for how many people are participating in dress themes (and actually dressing according to theme), engaged in activities, and pono behavior at all of the events.
The winning class will receive a free dress day, which will be designated later this year, and the order of how classes finish will be revealed at the Opening Assembly. But you want to bring it and earn the I Mua Week prize.
There will also be a number of unofficial and light-hearted games and activities available throughout the week. Keep a look out, get involved and enjoy your I Mua Week!
I Mua Week will culminate on the hard court as our Nā Koa will take on Waiākea to see which Warriors are best.
Join us to cheer them on and cap the week with a win and big celebration as the final regular season home game of the year. We've got a number of fun things that will happen throughout the game.
