SEMI-FORMAL DRESS ATTIRE
Prom is a special occassion and a night to make memories, and the dress you wear should be elevated to match the occassion. We want you to be comfortable, but you should wear your best and put your best foot forward for the event (no shorts and t-shirts or slippers). See the guidelines in place for the evening's dress code, which applies to ALL attendees. Please dress appropriately.
Collared dress shirt – shirts must be worn at all times and throughout the evening
Long dress slacks (long pants)
Covered dress shoes must be worn
Midriff / stomach area must be covered
All school policies regarding hair and facial hair apply to KSH gentlemen.
Semi-formal dresses must BE LONGER than fingertip at side length
Slits should fall below fingertip at side length
Midriff / stomach area must be covered
Dress shoes such as sandals, pumps or heels
Full length dress pant suit are allowed
Strapless or spaghetti strapped dresses with modest necklines are allowed
Keep it Classy/Remember Modesty: Clothing must be appropriate for a school environment. No excessively revealing outfits, including short bottoms, low-cut tops, or clothing that exposes the midriff.
Fit and Coverage: Clothing should fit properly. No excessively tight clothing. All undergarments must be fully covered at all times. At no time should a dress length need to be pulled down to meet the length requirement. At no time should a top need to be pulled up to meet the coverage requirement.

CONDUCT PROBATION: Any student currently on conduct probation will not be allowed to attend prom.
ACADEMIC PROBATION: Any student currently on academic probation for Quarter 4 will not be allowed to attend prom.
April 13th - final academic grade check for quarter 4 AP students (students on four (4) week probation will be unable to attend prom/notified on March 30th).
ATTENDING SCHOOL: School attendance on Thursday, April 23 is required for all KSH students per our Student and Parent Handbook (unless an excused absence). Friday, April 24 is a Teacher Workday.
Our actions and behaviors are a reflection upon Kamehameha Schools and its values. Dance styles have become an increasing concern among faculty, administration, parents and even students, thus, dance styles to include freaking, twerking, grinding, or any that have movement to be sexually suggestive in nature is UNACCEPTABLE.

If you are not feeling well - do not leave your home.
If you are recently went for a COVID-19 test, but you haven't received your results - do not leave home.
Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from Nani Mau Gardens. Drivers should be responsible and abide by the curfew laws of the County of Hawaiʻi. As a precaution, students should obtain a Parental Permission Slip for Curfew if there is any chance they'll be out past the time listed.

The check-in time for the event is from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. If you are unable to check-in by 6:30 p.m. due to another obligation (Athletics or club competition), you or your parent need to make a request in writing to askshawaii@ksbe.edu. Subject to review by administration. A confirmation of approval will be sent by email.
All attendees are expected to remain at the event until 8:30 p.m.
Should there be an emergency that student or host/guest need to leave the event before the end time, respective legal guardians/parents must contact the Administrators at the event. to provide verification and to ensure safety of attendees.
Student or host/guest released will not be allowed to return.
If there is a question about any of the guidelines, including proper attire, it is the student’s responsibility to see Administration BEFORE purchasing their ticket.
