Do not enter data classified as confidential (PII, student data, medical information, etc.) into publicly-available Generative AI tools, in accordance with the district’s existing policies and FERPA guidelines (BOE Policy 8335). Information shared with Generative AI tools using default settings is not private and could expose proprietary or sensitive information to unauthorized parties.
Review Kingsway’s student handbooks and plagiarism policy (BOE Policy 5701) . Faculty should communicate permitted uses, if any, of generative AI for any academic assignment or learning activity. Students are also encouraged to ask their instructors for clarification about the permitted use of AI.
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, misleading, biased, entirely fabricated (sometimes called “hallucinations”) or may contain copyrighted material. You are responsible for any content/products you publish that include AI-generated material. Cross reference AI-generated content with trusted and creditable sources.
