Procedure

Produce AI Assisted Lesson Plans

• Generate initial lesson plans with AI support.

• Present topics with guiding questions to frame exploration.

• Define clear learning objectives and expected outcomes.

Adapt Plans for Station Rotation

• Ask Chat GPT to revise the existing lesson plan to incorporate 'Station Rotation' as the main activity replacing whole group instruction. 

Analyze Stations for Effectiveness

•  Review ChatGPT's station rotation suggestions for viability and relevance.

• Refine activities and examples for each station to enhance personalization and engagement.

Reflect on Effectiveness and Adjust

• Consider the impact of this method on teaching practices and instructional delivery.

• Gather student input on the effectiveness of the station rotation model.

• Use ChatGPT to analyze reflections and student feedback for potential adjustments to the approach.

Procedure

Consult AI for virtual resources (ChatGPT)

• Ask ChatGPT to locate virtual resources on the topic of your choosing. Links to readings, videos, or online games are all items that ChatGPT is capable of locating. 

Analyze suggested resources for appropriateness

• Review ChatGPT's resource suggestions for viability and relevance.

Interact with the playlist 

• Allow students to interact with the playlist; use playlist time to pull small groups for targeted instruction.

Administer formative assessment to analyze playlist for effectiveness (Diffit)

• Diffit can create assessments from links to videos and readings, including a Google Forms Quiz (which will be auto-graded).

• Refine quiz questions to ensure that your objectives/success criteria are being measured.

Reflect and Adjust 

• Based on assessment results, adjust items in the playlist for the next time you administer the lesson.

• Clarify misconceptions and address challenging topics.

Objective: 

To provide students an opportunity to teach a "peer" in the form of an AI Sidekick (SchoolAI). 

Procedure

Build your Sidekick (SchoolAI):

• Build your sidekick in SchoolAI. Provide the sidekick with guidance to take the role of the student and ask for instruction in the target concept. Be as specific as possible when constructing your Sidekick and use the preview button to test it out.

• Instruct the sidekick to tell the students that the student shouldn't give them the answers, but should rather instruct the sidekick how to find the answers. 

Analyze Sidekick interactions for reteaching opportunities:

• View SchoolAI's transcripts of the interactions and its analysis of trends and commonalities.

• Look for any misconceptions to target small group or 1-1 reteaching opportunities.
