This experience was the beginning of the school year KM Global field trip. This trip included team building activities, communication and collaboration with peers/staff, and different challenging tasks. This field trip was an entire school day.

KM Global students and I took time on our virtual day to go and clear a large chunk of the invasive species buckthorn down at Nagawaukee Park.

I shadowed Bailey Fornell, Jake Schneider, and Erin McDonald at the Delafield Hotel. On this job shadow I had the opportunity to take a tour of the behind the scenes of the hotel and learned about the responsibilities of a hotel general manager, restaurant manager, and guest services general manager. I was also able to have a one on one interview with the general manager where she walked me through a day in her life and her favorite parts about the job.

I shadowed Alyson Chavez, Director of Community Engagement, at the Milwaukee Ballet. On this job shadow I had the opportunity to watch professional ballet rehearsals, talk to Alyson Chavez about her responsibilities as a Director of Community Engagement, and spend time in the costume shop learning about their processes and specific skills.

Within this seminar I I learned a lot about the neighborhoods of Milwaukee. I learned a lot about the other cultures within Milwaukee and how the city originated. My favorite things I learned during this seminar were from the historical society. I liked the artifacts and pictures of what the city used to look like.

I attended a listening session for a group outside of my school seeking student feedback. I gave my opinions and feedback to a group of professionals looking to better the new Milwaukee Public Museum location.
