Our district mathematics goal is centered around the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) research based 8 effective mathematics teaching practices. Each of our mathematics professional development will focus on one or more of these effective teaching practices. Through our research based professional development trainings for schools and teachers and implementation of ongoing professional learning communities (PLC), it is our vision that teachers will learn and apply these effective teaching practices to reach all students and maximize learning.
