Celebrating Ramadan and Cultural Diversity at KISU
At KISU, we take pride in celebrating the rich diversity of our community, and this time, we embraced the spirit of Ramadan while honoring cultures from around the world. Our students engaged in a range of activities that deepened their understanding of this special occasion and the beauty of cultural traditions.
Throughout the week, classrooms buzzed with creativity as students took part in arts activities inspired by Ramadan and other cultural festivities. From intricate geometric patterns to storytelling traditions, they explored the artistic expressions of different cultures. The school was also filled with the delicious aromas of traditional foods as students participated in cooking sessions, learning about the significance of various dishes in different cultures. Discussions and interactive lessons helped broaden their knowledge of Ramadan, its values of reflection and generosity, and the diverse ways it is observed globally.
The week concluded with a vibrant assembly where students proudly showcased their heritage. Performances, presentations, and cultural displays provided a wonderful taster of the many backgrounds that make up our school. It was a heartwarming celebration of unity, respect and learning - reflecting KISU's commitment a truly inclusive community.

Celebrating Women's Day with Inclusion and Sweet Moments
On March 7th, our school celebrated International Women’s Day under the theme, "Mixing Diverse Ingredients for Inclusion." The day was filled with heartfelt gestures and meaningful activities honoring the incredible women in our lives.
Students expressed their appreciation through beautifully written messages dedicated to the women who inspire them. A special highlight was when male students delivered red roses to every female staff member, symbolizing love, respect, and gratitude.
Adding to the joy, teachers, parents, and the admin team—led by Tracy—collaborated in a bake therapy session. This unique activity brought together people from different roles to bond over baking. Ms. Daman graciously shared her nutritious chocolate cake recipe, and the excitement was contagious as everyone mixed, baked, and enjoyed the delicious treats.
More than just a celebration, the day embodied unity, appreciation, and inclusion. Seeing students, staff, and parents come together made the occasion truly special. It was a reminder that Women's Day is not just about honoring women—it’s about fostering a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Here’s to the women who inspire us every day and to the continued effort in making inclusion a reality!
