IGCSE & IBDP Options Evening
On Thursday 13th March, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, we hosted our first online IGCSE and IB options evening. The event was a great success, and we were delighted that parents and guardians took the time to join us. Throughout the session, Heads of Departments provided valuable insights into the assessment criteria, the differences between internal and external assessments, and potential career pathways linked to various subject choices. Overall, the evening was highly informative, and we hope that both parents/guardians and students found it beneficial.

In Term 3, the Secondary Leadership Team will begin the timetable for the next academic year. Should your child/ward wish to change their options, we would advise them to do so at the earliest convenience.

A Day with UCLAN at KISU
On Friday 14th March, we hosted a Careers Day in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), with whom we have a strong partnership. We arranged for lecturers from seven different departments to fly in and deliver insightful presentations on the benefits of pursuing careers in their respective industries.
These engaging taster sessions provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn firsthand from experts in the field. We were also pleased to welcome students from Kabojja International School, Word of Life School, and Acacia International School. We hope that all attendees enjoyed the workshops and gained meaningful insights into potential career paths.
Below are some images from the sessions and Careers Day.

Year 11 & DP2 Study Leave
As we approach the examination period, it is crucial that all students maintain regular attendance. Following Mr. Lee’s message about the UK Department of Education’s findings on the impact of attendance on academic performance, we strongly encourage students to be present in school.
Study leave for our Year 11 and DP2 students begins on Monday 14th April. However, the first week of Term 3 (Monday, 7th – Friday 11th April) is particularly important. While some students may feel this week is not essential, our staff will be covering key revision materials, finalising the syllabus, and making final adjustments to coursework. We kindly ask that all students attend school during this period.
Additionally, we encourage students to visit school occasionally during their study leave to seek further feedback, guidance, and clarification on any challenging areas.
