Grade 10 Fall Trip Summary: August 28 - 30, 2019
KIS high school has developed an amazing opportunity for our students to experience a classroom without walls. We will be taking all the high school students out to explore and learn in the beautiful natural areas of Korea. We will leave KIS around 8:15am on the morning of Wednesday August 28th and will return to KIS Friday, August 30th. We will return Friday at 2:30pm to ensure students can ride the bus home. Our grade 10 students will be going to Korean Youth Center, Boramwon.
Although we will not be on campus during this time, it will be considered typical school days. These learning opportunities are a vital part of the high school curriculum and adhere to our school wide goals. Grade 10 students will be working in small groups to accomplish transdisciplinary activities and will be accompanied by their teachers and guides who are there to help facilitate the activities throughout the day.
Students will be transported by school-arranged busing. The school insurance will cover your student while we are out in the field, just like it does here at school. We will have medical personnel on each trip, along with many staff certified in first aid and CPR to take care of any minor medical issues that may arise.
In the TRIP RESOURCES section of this page you will find links to a packing list, itinerary, and all other information you will need to have a safe and enjoyable trip. Permission forms will be sent directly to parents via email and text.
