Xander Johnston S4

Check out KHS student Xander’s double page article on moths (and front page appearance) in the RSPB wing beat magazine. Xander is writing an article for each season all about insects. His first article in the Summer edition was of course ants and he’s about to begin writing an article for the winter magazine. So if you have/know any children that would love this kind of magazine, sign them up for the RSPB membership and they can be Xander spotting in future editions Well done Xander!!!!

Creag Muir S4

This year KHS student Creag Muir has been competing in the Scottish downhill series and UK national DH series which takes him all over the UK at which he has been in the top 5 at every race. Creag was 4th at the British Champs in Rhyd-y-fellin (wales) and most recently placed 2nd at the Scottish Champs in Fort William. Only 2 seconds split 1st and 2nd place!

Scottish Champs was held on the world cup track at Fort William which is renowned for being the toughest and longest track on the world cup circuit. To finally race on this track has been Creag's dream since he was 5 when he went to his 1st world cup.

He has trained hard in the gym and on the bike to have the strength and fitness to be in the top 5.H

Creag is hoping next summer travel will be easier and he can go racing in Europe again!

Well done Creag!!
