Chinese New Year

4th February - The assemblies this week have been on Chinese New Year. Pupils learned about Chinese culture and some of the detail behind Chinese New Year. Thanks to Miss Li and happy year of the pig!

Great snow conditions on the M1 for our advanced ski group today.

The Thursday afternoon ski group continue to see great snow conditions on the M1.

Kingussie Shinty Club hosted their Annual Dinner Dance

Kingussie Shinty Club hosted their Annual Dinner Dance on the 9th February and handed out the Season 2018 awards which included KHS students, Second Team Player of the year - Liam Borthwick Badenoch Ladies Most Improved Player - Katie Falconer

Sports for All

7 pupils from the Support Centre enjoyed a day in Inverness attending Sports for All. All pupils were brilliant and participated well in all events.

Katie Slimon and Ali Douglas have been accepted to the Glasgow School of Sport at Bellahouston Academy starting the next academic year.

WKA Scottish Championships

Kieran Christie came third (bronze medal) in Motherwell on Saturday at the WKA Scottish Championships. It was a huge competition and he had 5 tough fights, so it was a great achievement

Gordonstoun Northern XC Champs

On 27th February we had another year of blue skies and fast racing at Gordonstoun for the Northern XC champs. Congratulations to all our runners. The course was fast and dry but soft underfoot. It was “too hot for running” in the midday heat! 5th and 6th respectively for Katie Slimon and Emma Jones, 18th for Charlie Ferguson and 24th and 35th for Jake Bell and Finlay McDonald.

School of Rugby with the Highland Rugby Club

Great day at Culloden Academy with the School of Rugby pupils today!! Lots of rugby, lots of laughs and a few new friends made! It was brilliant to see the kids from both schools mixing together to play contact and touch games not only improving their rugby skills but their social skills as well! Thanks to the Highland Rugby Club for organising the event.


North of Scotland Football Team

Kane Davies is chosen to represent North of Scotland football team in the Scottish Cup quarter final V Dumfries and Galloway.


LGBT History Month in style

We ended LGBT History Month in style, coming together as a whole school to create this wonderful photograph. A huge thanks from the LGBT Working Group to all the pupils and staff who made today so bright and colourful, and to the parents who supported us to make this happen.
