Shinty Festival in Inverness.

Recently some S1 and S2 shinty players took part in a shinty development festival at Charleston Academy in Inverness. The two teams of high school pupils played each other as well as teams from Charleston, Grantown, Oban and Plockton. Well done to Ollie, Jason, Gabi, Orla, Lewis, Jamie and Keiran who made up one of the teams; and to Kirsty, Miko, Anthony, Archie, Iona, Jess and Alfie who were the other team. Thanks to Somhairle Thomson for helping out with the organising and coaching.

S. 1 Football team take part in their first tournament

The first of the S1 Highland 9 aside football tournaments took place at Charleston Academy last week. The High School played against two Charleston teams, Grantown and Lochaber. All fourteen boys got lots of time on the pitch. They played four twenty minute games in a row, with no break in-between, so their fitness levels were really tested. Star performers were goalkeeper Jamie, the hard working Archie and the powerful Richard, but all the boys did really well. The next tournament should be in November. A reminder that training with Mr Ash and Mr Mackintosh is on every Monday from 4 - 5 pm.

Saltire Award to Aidan Woods

Well done to KHS student Aidan Woods👌 fantastic work, we are all very proud of you.
