  2. Look on the page for strories to read, activities to do at home, and quizes to take to find out your Harry Potter House!
  3. Explore! Have Fun! Learn!

Thursday, April 9

  2. Go to the activity Fraction Pizzas!
  3. Create a pizza.
    1. Your pizza can be cut in however many pieces that you would like (Think about who you want to share with)
    2. It has to be cut into at least 3 pieces
    3. Choose 4-6 toppings that you want on your pizza
    4. Choose which slices you want the toppings to go on. Not all toppings have to go on every slice
    5. Label the following fractions:
      • the fraction that you ate
      • the fraction that your guests ate
      • the fraction of the pizza each topping is on
    6. Create a creative name for your pizza!

Wednesday, April 8 (Optional)

  1. If you have paper, make fraction strips with the strips
  2. Color each fraction piece a different color
    1. 1 whole = Purple
    2. 1/2 = Orange
    3. 1/4= Green
    4. 1/8= Blue
    5. 1/3 = Yellow
    6. 1/6= Red
  3. Compare fractions by placing strips on top of each other
  4. Do you notice any fractions that are equal?
  5. If you find equivalent fractions, take a picture and submit them on Seesaw

  5. Upload your pictures on Seesaw under the activity named Math: Friday, April 3
  6. BONUS: You can play around with the simulator to make more fractions and play around with fractions

Fraction Scavenger Hunt!

  1. Look in your house and outside for 3-4 items that show fractions (1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/3, or 1/6)
  2. Think about this when you are eating lunch, playing outside, or making dinner with your family! You should search in your fridge, room, and backyard for anything that shows fractions!
  3. Take a picture of the items that you found
