By: Zoya Khare Estimated Time: 30 - 45 minutes
MATERIALS:
One piece of strong, weather-proof wood (You don’t want it breaking before you can even test it!)
One long piece of rope (make sure it can support up to two times your body weight, for when you’re in the air.)
Drill
Pair of scissors for cutting the rope!
Two Tree Protectors (for when you are using rope and trees-they look like hoses!)
INSTRUCTIONS:
First, practice lassoing rope! Or, I suppose, you could get a ladder. Why? So you can get the two pieces of rope to the top of the tree, of course!
Next, once you get them over the tree, make sure that the protectors are the only thing making contact with the bark.
Then, tie a knot. This will secure the rope in place.
Next, you got your drill? Good! Carefully use the drill to make two holes on the sides of the wood so that you can attach the rope to the swing.
Finally, drop the dangling ropes through the holes, and tie a knot beneath each hole them so that they are securely attached and ready!
Test it, and if you’re still alive, you’re done!
You're now ready to get swinging!
