Another day, another adventure, where should we go this time? Wait, I should probably go hunting for lunch and dinner. We need boar meat, bashon nuts, healing water and fairy leaves. Let's first get the boar meat. I think there are some over the hill.
I made my way to the top of the hill and looked around to see if any had come. Oh there's one! I sprinted at a boar's back and stabbed it with my small knife, startling it and causing it to run away. 3,2,1, there. It dropped the boar meat and I ran, grabbed it and stored it away in my infinity bag. First one on the list, now time to get the bashon seeds. I think they grow over there if I'm not correct. I ran over there to check.
"Well isn't it my lucky day?" I said excitedly, since these trees were very rare. I hope there are no poison nuts that look alike on this tree. Oh, I found one and it's not slightly red! “Yay, 2 more to go!”
I should probably head to the fairy dimension for these. I think I remember hearing there was a portal across the gravestone plains. Sounds like it might be dangerous; good thing I got my sword. Now looking at the map it seems it is 13 lands away! I better go fast. I spawned my morphing slime that I turned into a giant flying turtle and rode away into the rising sun. After an hour I finally landed to give my turtle a rest.
"Wow, look at all these beautiful flowers. All bright red too!" I said in shock. I should bring them back to Mom. It is her birthday after all. It will add to the nice lunch surprise! Ok, back to business. Let's get some flowers and then go back to flying. Let me just check the map real quick. Oh what, was I already in the gravestone plains? Well, I don't understand why it is called that seeing how it is so beautiful?
Without thinking, I ran through some poppy fields, picking the most beautiful poppies I could find and stashing them into my bag. Soon after, I had the sudden urge to lie down, and so I did, slowly and unknowingly falling into a trance. I laid there in a wonderful, deep sleep, slowly forgetting the reason I had come here for. What's that? I awoke from my sleep to see a nice furnished bedroom. Where am I? Why do I feel this is familiar?
“Ah I see you are awake, Welcome back Princess.” said a maid.
What?! I'm not a princess.
“You must be mistaken, I'm not a princess, I'm just an adventurer.” I replied, astonished. A beautiful lady walked in.
“Hmm seems Claris never told you.” Said the lady. “I am your Aunt, Lady Elesis.”
“How did I get here, and what evidence do you have?” I said, shocked.
“Well for starters, you have that necklace that only high class men can wear, and it also alerts family members when a family member is at the verge of death.” Lady Elesis replied.
So that's why mom always asked me to wear it and keep it safe. I hope she is alright.
“Do you know where mom is right now?” I asked.
“Sadly, no, but she sent me a letter saying that she had some problems and that you would be living here for a few months.” Lady Elesis said. I guess it won't be that bad.
“Oh one more thing, Gerald has come to visit you!”
“Who's that?”
“He was your childhood friend, remember?” As she said that, I saw flashbacks of a boy helping a young girl by healing her wounds when she had jumped off a tree. In a soft voice the boy said, “You should be more careful. What if you get hurt?”
I blinked, gasping for air.
“Sweetie, Are you alright?” Lady Elesis asked, concerned.
“Yeah, I'm fine, I just had a weird vision...Anyway, can I talk to Gerald?” I asked.
Gerald walked into the room.
“Are you ready to get married, my love?” said Gerald with an undesirable face.
“What are you talking about?” I replied, shocked.
“Do you not remember? When we were younger we made a contract to get married.”
“Why would I do that?”
“It was not your choice and neither was it mine,” Gerald said sadly.
“Then whose choice was it!” I said angrily.
“Mother and your Aunt, of course. Apparently, your mother refused and decided to take you away to live with her. But now that they found you and we are of age, we must get married.”
“But I'm only 17!”
“That is the age you are allowed to get married in noble society.”
“When will it happen?” I said with a sigh.
“Two days.”
“Two days! That's not nearly enough time to get everything ready!” I nearly gasped.
“So you're fine with this?”
“Of course not. But I don’t want to cause any problems, so we can just pretend.” I said sadly. Two days passed and I got into my chosen wedding dress. I hope this goes ok.
I walked up the aisle hand-in-hand with Lady Elesis. The chairman spoke.
“For the future spouse: will you Gerald Glans, take Clansis Claes, to be your wife?”
“Yes.” Gerald replied.
“Will you, Clansis Claes, take Gerald Glans, to be your husband? ”
“Yes,” I replied.
“To have and behold from this day on, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; until death do you part.” The chairman continued. The audience clapped as I smiled with tears of joy that streamed down my eyes. Well, this is it. I hope he will treat me well.
The End
