I am an information professional working with libraries, archives, and museums to leverage their collections for accessibility and engagement. I have worked at the Library of Virginia for ten years. I studied art history and psychology at Hollins University. After working in museums and galleries, I discovered my niche at the intersection of special collections libraries and new technology while at Historical Collections at UVa Health Sciences Library. I obtained a Certificate of Proficiency in Digital Materials from Rare Book School, and will complete my Masters in Library Science at Kent State in December 2020.
My primary interests are accessibility, innovation, and connection.
This professional portfolio contains work from my MLIS degree at Kent State University aligned with the Program Learning Objectives and Society of American Archivists' Core Values. It was created as part of the LIS 60280 Master's in Library and Information Science class in Fall 2020.
I have also included relevant work from my current and past positions to demonstrate my skills and interests in the Work Projects section.
While this professional portfolio is primarily designed for those hiring in libraries, museums, or archives, I welcome all to explore these documents and projects. I am always interested in new opportunities for collaboration and happy to answer any questions you may have.
