Attention Seniors: March is a month during which students should be focused on making progress with their portfolios, including their Capstone project. Details for each component of the Capstone Project can be seen by students in their Google Classroom and the Graduate Portfolio Handbook can be accessed on the KRHS Website. Students will be working to add components of the Graduate Portfolio throughout March. Link to Graduate Portfolio Website.
Remember that it is a KRSD Graduation requirement to complete 20 hours of community service by the time you graduate. Families of those students in the graduating class of 2025 will be receiving letters if limited hours have been recorded at the school. Forms to submit community service can be found on the school website, in your Advisory Google Classroom, and picked up in the Guidance Office. Completed forms should be turned in at the main office or guidance office to be logged.
The Boys Alpine Ski Team took home the NHIAA Division III state championship with 3 athletes moving on to the "Meet of Champions". Special shoutout to Sutton, Wilmot, and New London Police and Fire departments for the escort back to the school.
Two new school records were made in indoor track. Our girls 4x200 team made up of Lexi Shaughnessy, Riley Raynes, Javiera Eliessetch, and Juliet Faria with a time of 1.57.53. Daniel Dalbec had also won the Division II 1500, with a new Personal and School record of 4.10.94.
FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE
Upon returning from vacation, the health office wanted to give a reminder. Respiratory and gastrointestinal viruses are very high in the state, and we are also seeing those high numbers here as well. We wanted to remind everyone that if your child has a fever or is vomiting, they are not allowed in the building for at least 24 hours. They also must be fever-free without any Tylenol or ibuprofen on board. We understand keeping kids home is not ideal, but it is best for everyone and is school policy. When a person has a fever, they are actively shedding the virus and capable of spreading it, even if the fever is reduced with Tylenol or ibuprofen. We want to keep as many of us as healthy as we can.
