What is a Voice Actor?

A voice actor uses their voice to help sell, entertain or inform across a variety of different media. Typically working in the entertainment industry, they create sounds and voices for characters in animated television shows, movies and games. Voice actors also commonly work in advertising, educational content or live-action productions.

Job responsibilities

Recording voiceovers, narrations, or other vocal elements to be used in radio or TV advertisements, corporate videos, or other audio/visual projects
Preparing for auditions by studying scripts and creating character voices and personalities in their heads
Performing in front of a camera, including acting in television commercials or music videos, or providing voiceovers for animated films or commercials
Providing voiceovers for commercials, training videos, corporate presentations, or other media projects
