Live Online Skills and Behaviours Development Sessions
Below you will find a wide range of live online development sessions which you can attend for free as part of your apprenticeship! This is a great opportunity to develop your skills. These 2 hour online sessions cover a range of topics including; time management, study skills and exam prep, business writing skills and much more. What sets these sessions apart is their interactive format, which encourages active participation and also allows you to exchange ideas with tutors and fellow apprentices. Developing Business Writing Skills

This workshop is tailored for early-career professionals, who are beginning to create various forms of business communications such as emails and letters
Suitable for Apprenticeship Levels 2-4
Participants will gain insights into the hallmarks of high-quality business writing and delve into strategic communication planning.
Employing the IMAC (Introduction, Message, Action, Close) structure, attendees will engage in hands-on exercises that encompass both the planning and writing aspects of business communication.

This workshop is ideally suited for those just starting to use reflection as a tool for their development, and who want to improve the quality of their reflections and level of control over their development.

Overview
• Participants will consider why reflection is important and the benefits of effective reflection.
• Through the exploration of different reflection models (Schön, Atkins Murphy, Driscol) and practical activities, participants will discover methods to improve the quality of their reflections.
• The workshop concludes by examining how reflection and self-direction are the recipe for personal success and continuous improvement.
By the end of the workshop, participants will develop a range of reflective techniques to improve the quality and effectiveness of their reflection and identify methods to increase their level of self-direction in their personal development.

Through activities and discussion, the workshop explores a range of decision-making frameworks including the Seven Steps to Ethical Decision-making and Tucker’s 5 Question Model.
The concluding section explores the application of ethical principles and frameworks to evaluate and propose appropriate actions in real-life scenarios.

Business Presentation Skills

This workshop is perfect for those embarking on their journey of delivering presentations in the workplace, whether online or in person.
Suitable for Apprenticeship Levels 4-7
Overview
Participants will explore the objectives of their presentation, investigate various structural approaches, and learn how to devise a plan that ensures a successful outcome.
The workshop will delve into the creation of compelling visuals that not only complement but enhance the presentation's message.
The final part is dedicated to the art of presenting, focusing on the optimal use of your voice and body language to convey your message with authority and authenticity. Post-workshop, participants are encouraged to apply these skills in their workplace. If current roles do not provide opportunities for presenting, apprentices are advised to consult with their managers to identify occasions to practice and refine their new skills.

This workshop is ideally suited for those seeking an introduction to sustainability from both a personal and professional level.
Suitable for Apprenticeship Levels 2-3
Guided Learning Hours 2 (online)
Overview
• Participants explore what is meant by the term 'Green', COP 26 agreement and discuss the current risks facing the planet
• The workshop considers the term 'Disruptive Sustainability', encouraging participants to evaluate the impact of convenience vs. sustainability.
• The workshop concludes by examining personal impact. Participants will calculate their personal Carbon Footprint and consider the different ways we can all contribute to sustainable living.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to identify the key issues which impact sustainability and the longer-term consequences, identifying one or two practical solutions to improve sustainable practice on a personal and professional level.
