Board of Trustees

Kaitangata Board of Trustees consists of elected parent members, the Principal and an elected Staff member. Meetings are held once a month in the school staffroom and are advertised in the school newsletter.

The Board are ultimately responsible for all school operations and set the direction of the school through an annual School Charter and Strategic Plan. The Board  is responsible for overseeing the employment of all personnel,  curriculum, property, and finance  but the Principal is delegated the responsibility of managing these areas under the Board's direction and Policy. The Principal is responsible for the day to day management of the school.

Parents are welcome to attend Board meetings. If there are specific issues to discuss they must consult  with the Principal or a Board member beforehand in order to have the issue put on the agenda.
