It is with great sadness that I share with you XXXXX, one of our #th grade students, has passed away. All of us want you to know that we are here to help in any way we can. The family has requested that information about the cause of death not be shared at this time.
We are aware that there has been some talk about the possibility that this was a suicide. Rumors may begin to circulate, and we ask that you not spread rumors since they may turn out to be inaccurate and can be deeply hurtful to XXXXX, as well as XXX family and friends. We’ll do our best to provide accurate information as it becomes available.
